Bio

Aneta Pichler, Harp

Aneta Pichler was born in Lithuania. At the age of eleven she received her first piano and harp lessons. At the age of 21 she finished her harp studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and

Theatre in Vilnus and graduated with distinction. From 2000 onwards she studied concert harp at the renowned Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she successfully finished another Bachelor, Master and postgraduate degree.

Afterwards she studied Doctoral programme in Philosophy in subject Music Studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Between 2004 and 2008 she held a fellowship at the LIVE MUSIC NOW foundation in Salzburg, which was founded by Lord Yehudi Menuhin.

Since 2005 member of various orchestras: Bruckner Orchester Linz, Kammerphilharmonie Salzburg, transArt Orchester Salzburg, Dom Orchester Salzburg, Jugend Philharmonie Salzburg, Acento Kammerorchester/Styria, Louis Spohr-Sinfonietta Styria, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra/USA/Houston.

But Aneta Marie Pichlers focus is on freelance work with numerous performances as a soloist and chamber musician both nationally and internationally. For more than 20 years she has been teaching harp, sharing her musical experiences with children, teenagers and students in several places: as a music teacher at music schools, as a mentor and teacher at the music conservatory, as an assistant and lecturer at the university Mozarteum in Salzburg and University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz.
